So many thoughts and emotions

Today I feel elated, very much in love with my husband, and excited about life with him, about the summer, about hiking and enjoying the mountains.  I feel content and joyful to spend time with good friends and loving family.  I feel inexplicably lonely - I guess after a certain age, women get lonely and wish for kids. I feel frustrated and confused - how can otherwise rational and compassionate people says things such as "Business establishments feel the impact of homeless people, who spend time in places where they are not welcome, including the library and stores along the Pearl Street Mall."  Why are aesthetics always put ahead of human dignity?
