Dreams

Someone asked this week: "what would you do if you had infinite free-time?"  It took me a while to think of a response, but here it is:

Travel around South America, and see llamas in the Pampas, rugged Patagonia, the majestic Andes, the dry Atacama desert, and the brilliant Amazon rainforest.  I'd like to hike, rock climb, meet people, and relax a lot - sit in some quiet places and contemplate nothing for a while.

Travel up the northern North American west coast, from Mexico to Canada, and visit Baja California, Alta California (see family there and spend a lot of time gazing into the ocean from the beach), Oregon, Washington (see some good friends there), and British Colombia (see some other good friends there, and see the totem poles).  I'd like to try surfing, tubing, rafting (after reading about it from Nanami), and mountain biking (after reading about it from Sunshine).

Spend a lot of time hiking, climbing, jogging, sitting by the creek and watching the water flow by, sitting perched on some rocks and doing nothing for long stretches of time, spend time with friends and family, conversing about everything under the sun, making and eating brunch with good people.  And then, dance my heart out every night.

Finish my computer vision program and get a job somewhere doing research in computer vision.

Have kids, and maybe a cat or dog. Or llama.

Those are all my random, silly dreams.  They don't seem so very unachievable.

Well, except maybe the pet house-llama part...
