Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival in China.  One tradition is to show appreciation to loved ones, so I'll seize this opportunity to express some much-overdue gratitude to my dear friends and family.  My friends have taught me many useful lessons via their direct example: listening openly and caring about others, being kind and selfless when one needs to be, living according to one's ideals and being a little selfish when one needs to be, laughing and not taking oneself too seriously, working hard and being persistent, learning to relax, smile, and enjoy life!  Thanks friends, for these important lessons.  Happy Mooncake Festival!~

Oh yeah, another tradition is to bake and share delicious mooncakes and other treats - so, hopefully I can bake my local friends some tasty treats soon! :-)
