What I'd like to learn

Everyone probably has some burning, thought-provoking question in their mind, or a subject that they have an insatiable desire to learn about.

Here are some of mine:
  • What motivates people and animals to behave they way they do? How do they see the world and themselves?
  • How are friendship and love experienced and expressed by people of different genders and cultures?
  • How can technology be used in medical treatment, rehabilitation, and in general, to aid and enhance people's lives.
On the nerdier side (assuming none of the above are too terribly nerdy):
  • A better understanding of singular value decomposition - right now it's like a magic eight ball that pops out amazing answers to the world's questions, but how does it work??
  • The transformation pipeline, projection matrices, and the elusive w-coordinate
  • SLAM - simultaneous localization and mapping
  • Computational geometry - I'd like to get through a chapter of this book without falling asleep.
What are some of the things you'd like to learn more about?
