What a crazy year of Colorado weather!  A short winter followed by a pleasant spring.  Summer with scorching heat, then wildfires, then downpours.  I'm loving the downpours!

Thankful that friends and family are all doing well.

Here in my small universe within Boulder, things are also going well. Hiked 4th of July trail with a good friend who was born 4th of July.  The conversation touched on llamas, divergence operator, and matrix multiplication.  I was so happy.

And, found out that a gentlemanly friend of that friend shares my opinions on religion.  It is always exciting to meet someone who understands something the same way that you do - that way you needn't waste words explaining something that can't really be explained to anyone other than someone who already has the same understanding anyway.  Wow, what a mouthful.  And, I'm not even sure if it's true.  But it sounds sagely. :-)  Haha - sike!

Had a tubing adventure with some great friends (with emphasis on the adventure part).

Wished a family friend off, who is embarking on a circus adventure in Japan.  Offered (and sincerely hoped that the offeree would take us up) dog-sitting for some adorable, tiny dogs.

With my husband's bright, sunny smile to end each day with, life is looking up!
