Thanks to a friend for solving the first riddle: he suggested to carry the fruit around in crates. Here is a new riddle: suppose that the spacecraft had books on it (you brought them on the journey, in case you got bored, floating around in space all the time). The fruits found the books and four of the fruits each read one of the books. But then the spacecraft burst into flames! You were luckily able to put all the fruits back into the crate and save them all, so no one got hurt, but the books are all lost. The fruits are very sad at first because they enjoyed the books very much. You reassure them that you can order new copies on intergalactic-amazon.com.spc, if only they remember which books they had read. So, the fruits all try to describe the stories they had read. But, the fruits have very bad memories, and they seem to think all the books they read were about alpacas, even though you know you didn't bring any books about alpacas. Which books are these?

The banana says, "The book I read was about an alpaca ranch in Argentina. The alpacas were on a quest to save the world, but one alpaca had to climb some mountains to drop something into a pit of fire, in order to save the world. And all the other alpacas had to distract the big, bad alpaca that made the thing that was going to be dropped."

The orange says, "The book I read was about many different kinds of alpacas, who wanted to create an egalitarian society in which everyone reaped the benefits of their own labor. They overthrew the ruling alpacas and founded a new society on principles of fairness and equality. But some of the cunning alpacas begin to distort the principles, and the new society becomes as bad as the original that was overthrown."

The raspberry says, "The book I read was about some magical llamas who go on a train to some magical llama castle to study llama-ness. But there is one magical llama who is afraid of death, so he makes seven pieces of himself. The other three llamas have to stop him."

The coconut says, "The book I read was about a vicunya who goes on a sea voyage. There is a one-legged vicunya leading the voyage, who is paranoid and wants revenge on the big, fat guanaco that took his leg."
