Hope you don't mind reading a few more opinions :-)

Syriana: this movie was fantastic!  It looks really boring from the cover, so it was completely unexpected that it would be so good.  Never judge a George Clooney movie by the cover....  It is by the same director who made the movie Traffic (about drug trafficking) and has a similar style, but this one is about the oil industry.

The Guide: I'm sure you've all seen the movie with Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman.  It is one of my favorite Hindi movies, and is based on a book by R. K. Narayan.  I just started reading the book, and it is great.  R. K. Narayan is a genius - I love his humanistic, humorous, and easy-to-read stories.
