Music

After being in a band, one gets a greater appreciation for music. I used to judge music harshly and form opinions of which songs were good and bad.  Now, it's hard to criticize any songs, knowing how much effort goes into each one.  Our drummer has sound mixing equipment - he records the instruments separately and then mixes them together. He can also add reverberation and other effects.  It's pretty cool to listen to songs now (like "Battle of Evermore" by Led Zepplin) and think about how they must have recorded it, and how they must have tried again and again to get it just right.
