Reunion Week

This week, I have met with several friends who I've not seen in years.  It is fun meeting them, and hearing about their lives and thoughts.  It is funny to notice how they seem the same in some ways and different in others.  People are constantly changing and re-defining themselves - I wonder if there really is any essence in each person that they retain throughout life.  What has been most surprising is that several friends who I barely knew are now the ones I connect with the most.  The things they said resonated with me and the conversations were very refreshing.
