Boulder is a great city - I love living here. People are relaxed and non-conservative, loving life. Every morning, I see people riding their bikes, taking their dogs out to play, and loading their cars up with climbing and camping gear. It makes me happy to see it.
The entire west coast of the United States seems the same.
